I am a wife and mom of three and have been pursuing my passion of photography for over two decades now.

 

As I raise my own family, I learn to cherish each day and savor the moments I have with them. I believe in the power of preserving memories by writing them down, photographing them and sharing them with others.

 

I love helping moms tell their stories through photographs. I am continually inspired by the beauty in light, nature, and simplicity along with neutral tones and textures. As I bring these elements into my work, I am filled with joy which I hope to spread to those around me.

 

Relationships are a priority and I desire to truly connect with my clients. I love hearing their stories and gaining an understanding of where they will place their final images. I understand the stress of planning a family portrait session and how to display the artwork created.

 

My goal is to walk moms through the entire portrait process and make their photography experience one they will cherish forever.

Forty seven is the atomic number for silver. Silver is the original process of black and white photography and that is where photography started for me, developing black & white film and making prints in the darkroom.

Took my first film photography
class in high school.Best friends in college saw
my photography work and
encouraged me to pursue
photography as my major
instead of graphic design.Graduated college with a
BFA in photography.Started Rachel Henderson Photography.
Photographed my first wedding
and loved it so much I decided
to continue photographing weddings
along with family portraits.Rebranded to
47 Moments Photography.Switched my focus from weddings
to maternity, newborns and
family photography.Loving photography more
than ever, serving my clients and
building meaningful relationships!
Took my first film photography

Forty Seven Moments is a luxury portrait studio located in Bethel, Connecticut, serving clients from Fairfield and Westchester counties and the surrounding areas.

They won’t let me swap them out or move them!

When we moved into our home over 10 years ago, I put framed images of each of our kids above our fireplace. I had the intention of moving them when I found a piece of artwork that worked with the space.

Time passed and I mentioned to my kids that I would be relocating their elementary portraits.

I was not expecting their response. All three of them objected to this idea.

In my mind, I was the one who really cared about our family portraits, especially the framed pictures on our walls.

It wasn’t until I suggested moving the pictures that I realized how important they were to each of my teenage kids!

To them, those pictures represented their childhood. Those memories were a part of their home, their upbringing and their security within it.

My eyes were opened to the value of a framed photographed that is prominently displayed in the home.

It’s not just about looking pretty. It represents emotional depth in a child’s life. Something deeper than we will ever know.

To all the parents reading this, you NEED framed photographs of your family in your home.
