Family Vacation – Kure Beach, NC

One of our favorite places to travel to for spring break is the little coastal town of Kure Beach, NC. Just south of Wilmington, it’s nice and quaint without the big high rise hotels or many tourists. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy the ocean and family time without feeling like you’re missing out on anything else.

We rented a house on the beach with Brian’s side of the family. The sea water was a little too chilly to fully swim in, so this year we took advantage of the heated pool overlooking the ocean. My personal favorite activity was the daily bike rides to the point each morning. We also enjoyed many walks to the pier, sand castle making, and late night card games.

Most of our daily adventures were recorded on my phone, but I did manage to grab so shots with my big camera. The sky was mesmerizing and inspired me to want to paint. Maybe someday when I get a little extra free time I’ll try my hand at watercolors.
